“Kiteba” is an acronym for Knowledge, Ideas, Technology, Ecology, Biology, and Architecture. It’s a word that combines an integrated set of obsessions I have at present in regard to, again, the future. Changes and advances in these areas are converging at a rapid pace, promising to impact everything from our social existence, to how we learn and communicate, to even the material composition of the planet.

WARP Records

What can be said? Outstanding and original artistry!

Warp, commonly referred to as Warp Records, is an independent British record label, founded in Sheffield in 1989, specialising in electronic music.

Warp was founded by Steve Beckett and the late Rob Mitchell, who had both gained experience working at Sheffield’s FON record shop, alongside record producer Robert Gordon. The name was chosen because the original name, ‘Warped Records’, was difficult to distinguish over the telephone. Warp soon became home to artists who would be influential in electronic music.

Nurse With Wound

Nurse with Wound (or shortened as NWW) is the main recording name for British musician Steven Stapleton. Nurse with Wound was originally a band, formed in 1978 by Stapleton, John Fothergill and Heman Pathak. The band has performed in many genres such as avant-garde, experimental, industrial, noise, dark ambient, and drone.

Coil was an English cross-genre, experimental music group formed in 1982 by John Balance—later credited as “Jhonn Balance”—and his partner Peter Christopherson, aka “Sleazy”. The duo worked together on a series of releases before Balance chose the name Coil, which he claimed to be inspired by the omnipresence of the coil’s shape in nature. Today, Coil remains one of the most influential and best known industrial music groups.

Current 93

Current 93 is an eclectic British experimental music group, working since the early 1980s in folk-based musical forms. The band was founded in 1982 by David Tibet (né David Michael Bunting, renamed ‘Tibet’ by Genesis P-Orridge sometime prior to forming the group).
